Homeschool: Math and Language

I tried something a little different today. I had two lessons in mind and let her play/ choose the rest. We started off with math. I wrote numbers 11-20 on some Dollar Tree sea shells. She picked one shell and placed it in the middle of our wooden 20 frame. Then she used our loose parts to count up to that number.

Once she got bored with that game, I had her sort the pieces we used. We counted each color and talked about which ones we used the MOST and the LEAST and which were EQUAL.

For language we worked on initial sounds using this bingo game.

Math - We measured her dolls using yarn and compared them to each other.

We then measured them using unifex cubes and counted how many cubes each baby was.

I wanted to include some writing so I wrote down our results and then it was her turn :)
